Oh, and how come this Boris joke is still going round? I mean, it was funny last night when they put it on TV, but it's wearing a bit thin now. We all know he's not really London Mayor. I mean, that would be fucking ridiculous, wouldn't it?

Yay for you! 50% of people didn't vote in this election, but I bet they all complain about Boris. I just vote because it buys me the right to whinge ;)

It doesn't surprise me. I think people expect there to be a perfect candidate who agrees with every single one of their views, and promises make London into some sort of utopia - and then when there turns out not to be one, they refuse to vote. You've got to be philosophical and tactical and just try and vote in the best of an imperfect bunch I guess... Unfortunately I fear Boris may not be it.

I agree. Saying 'I'm not going to vote because I don't like any of the candidates' is a bit like saying 'I'm not going to eat vegetables until one comes along that tastes like chocolate'.

Looking on the bright side, Boris fundamentally has a weak personality and no clue what he stands for. It only needs for him to have vaguely competent advisors and he might come out with some okay policy from time to time.

I had no preference as to who became Mayor as nobody could fuck up administration like Ken and his freeloading cronies.
